That's why a lot of people ask us about the sun tax. There are some really important things here.

First, it's just a potential idea right now. So it may or may not happen, and in fact, it's pretty unlikely to happen.

Second, if it does, it will be at least three or many more years.

Thirdly, based on all our research, this may mean that some customers only receive a slight reduction in their feed-in tariff for a few hours on some days of the year. There was talk of around 2 cents per kilowatt hour, but in return they should receive a higher feed-in tariff at peak times, for example at four in the afternoon in summer.

Ultimately, we think this is unlikely. The impact is likely to be negligible, and many customers might be even better off with it. The last thing, and probably the most important thing, is that if you have a solar battery or smart system, it doesn't really affect you anyway.
