Solar Energy Partners (SEP), a company that provides a "white glove" service for researching, comparing, selecting and installing solar panels for residential use, has partnered with Standard Energy, a California-based solar energy company.
The merger is expected to accelerate SEP's growth and allow the company to expand its presence in several other states and offer its services to millions more across the country.
"We're growing – and moving – incredibly fast as the merger has already combined Standard's philosophy with SEP's business model," said Alex Williams, co-founder of SEP. "As such, we now have hundreds of Standard Energy solar experts working with the equally skilled SEP representatives to bring an even greater experience to customers in a number of states."
Standard was founded four years ago in Bakersfield, California by Todd Jensen, Brian Hutchings and Brad Holm and expanded to Texas last year. As of March 2020, the organization has grown from 15 to 150 representatives with offices in Fresno, Bakersfield, San Diego, Dallas, San Antonio and Houston. As a result of the merger, SEP now has over 500 contractors in five states, a growth rate of 500% over the past year.
In the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic, the economic crisis and the presidential elections have diverted attention from the issue of climate change and the importance of renewable energies. In the news cycle, numbers have been buried by NASA showing that 2020 was just second only to 2016 for the hottest year in recorded history, pushing 2019 to third. With three of the hottest days in history happening in the past five years, the need to switch to renewable energies like solar is more urgent than ever.
SEP aims to drive widespread acceptance of solar energy by offering "white gloves" that remove the stress and hassle of home improvement projects in the renewable energy field and beyond. The company notes that its agents specialize in helping homeowners understand the process of installing and operating a solar system, identify potential savings, identify tax credits and state and federal grant opportunities, and get the installation done from start to finish.
In addition, SEP guarantees longevity and value for its customers through its commitment to supplying the best materials and the latest technology. This includes premium solar panels with minimal degradation and comprehensive warranties to ensure the customer knows they will not experience any significant financial surprises in the future, 24-hour system monitoring to reduce the risk of malfunction, and an after-sales service Sales support to ensure the system remains optimal in its operation. All of this is achieved through both SEP's and Standard's personalized service model with a restrained, comfortable sales approach.
