NAES Corp., an independent power, maintenance, and repair company has announced its partnership with the CIM Group's Aquamarine, 250 MW AC Solar Photovoltaic Project at Westland Solar Park in Fresno and Kings Counties, California.
"NAES is proud to partner with CIM Group to provide O&M services for their solar farm and generation compound in California," said Norm Escover, President and CEO of NAES. "This is a significant advance in clean energy and a NAES Corporation is uniquely prepared to be part of our combination of experience and services."
NAES is currently supporting the first 125 MW phase of the CIM Group's solar park, which went into commercial operation on October 1, 2021, with the management of the transmission lines, the substation and the connection from Westland. In addition, the NAES team offers support with quality assurance and quality control, operation and maintenance as well as a technical review of the photovoltaic area.
"NAES offers a proven facility management approach that has been refined over four decades and supported by a responsive operations, security and compliance organization that is second to none," said Charlie Hoock, senior vice president of Power Services and Renewables at NAES. "Our differentiation is our customer service and our comprehensive performance under one roof."
The second 125 MW phase of this Aquamarine park will be completed and commissioned by the end of the year. This total of 250 MW AC park has an estimated 880,000 solar panels on 1,843 hectares of arable land that was considered unmanageable and is now being rededicated for clean energy. Testing is complete and NAES Corporation has begun providing full power services for the first phase of the solar farm, with services expected to be operational for the second phase and begin later this year.
