Morgan Solar's IV-DAQ in situ IV curve tracer has been certified and the company has launched a complementary analysis portal.
The IV DAQ provides accurate full IV waveform traces as well as panel voltage, current, temperature and string current. The web-based analysis portal collects data from the IV DAQ together with other meteorological sensors and presents a range of tools for presentation and analysis. Data collection up to once per minute provides users with robust data sets in a short amount of time. This enables the validation and quantification of tracking key performance drivers that have been difficult to isolate and monitor, from bifacial performance to potentially induced degradation and more. In addition, the integrated performance data is precisely translated into standard test conditions and compared with the age-adjusted guaranteed performance of the modules.
"An important way for companies to achieve their ESG goals is to increase adoption of new solar technologies, which in turn requires bankability," said Hugo Navarro, vice president, Morgan Solar. "By using IV DAQs and the Analytics Portal to create the digital twin of a project, we are helping to validate these technologies and point the way to better project design and operation."
